The wireless data revolution currently underway will be of the same scale as the internet and wireless voice (cell phones). Just as microprocessors have been built into everything in the past few decades, wireless communications will become part of objects big and small. The Economist in 2007 described this wireless revolution: "Gizmos and gadgets will talk to other devices—and be serviced and upgraded from afar. Sensors on buildings and bridges will run them efficiently and ensure they are safe. Wireless systems on farmland will measure temperature and humidity and control irrigation systems.Tags will certify the origins and distribution of food and the authenticity of medicines. Tiny chips on or in people's bodies will send vital signs to clinics to help keep them healthy".
With costs of sensors coming down and with availability to handle massive amount of data (for example using cloud computing) and with of many of the engineering problems (during installations) addressed we feel that wireless sensor network space is now ready for mainstream business applications.
The Company
Aginova Inc. provides affordable, low power Wi-Fi sensor network solutions that make a ubiquitous sensing world come alive by providing customers actionable feedback. Aginova's products bring the sensor world to the internet using web services. The company has 3 lines of product including (i) Temperature and Humidity monitoring in the health care and cold chain applications, (ii) Energy monitoring in a myriad of application and (iii) Infrastructure monitoring with emphasis on condition based maintenance applications in industrial and the defense markets.
All of Aginova's products were designed working very closely with customers to meet their requirements and we continuously improve our solution based on feedback from field deployments. Aginova's founding members come from diverse backgrounds with real-world know-how, technical expertise, and an approach that shifts the focus from data to information makes it possible for the company to provide a complete solution. Aginova Inc. is privately held with development offices in USA and Switzerland and sales offices in several countries.
