Sentinel Sensors Overview Monitor critical temperatures continuously and in real time, 24/7. A system that wirelessly monitors the temperature in all your critical equipment (cold or hot) anywhere in your building; kitchens laboratories, pharmacies, nursing and medical stations as well as off site facilities. A system that can Page, E-mail and visually alert any computer screen whenever your food, lab samples, pharmaceuticals or other temperature sensitive items are outside the prescribed parameters. Three simple components: 1. Sentinel Sensor The Sentinel Sensors are installed near (or inside) the asset to monitor. For example, you can use the Sentinel Pro sensor to monitor a cold freezer at -80°C, or a Sentinel Micro to monitor ambient air temperature in hotels. 2. Existing Wi-Fi 802.11 Once installed (and properly configured), the sensor will start sending data at regular interval using your existing Wi-Fi infrastructure to the PC hosting the Aginova software. Typical applications require one sample per minute. It is easy to reconfigure the sensors to modify the sampling period. 3. Aginova Monitoring Software Three models are proposed:
Benefits
Example A typical scenario is cold storage monitoring. Refrigerators and freezers are monitored using the Sentinel Pro sensors, with an external probe. The sensors take measurements once a minute and store that information locally (in case the network is unavailable). The data is sent wirelessly (and securely) using your Wi-Fi® wireless network to the Aginova's web server (this case is illustrated using the Web hosted model, but you could have everything locally). The information is processed and stored in a relational database. The Web Portal analyses the data and triggers alarms when the measurement is outside of a pre-defined range. It can send emails, SMS, or even SNMP messages and escalate the problem to other persons if no corrective action is performed. Users and administrators can securely access the Web Portal, from any location as long as there is an Internet connection and a compatible browser. It is then possible to view graphs, generate reports, configure alarms, and monitor sensors.
